9th AV Fistula Care Workshop: Focused on AV Access Thrill Awareness
📍 Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram 📅 June 24, 2025
The workshop witnessed the active participation of dialysis patients along with their attendants which showed their eagerness to learn and care.
Himanshu Verma explained how to use a stethoscope to monitor sounds and understand what a healthy thrill feels like. Many patients were able to identify early signs of trouble and were referred for timely medical review.
The workshop was followed by an engaging session on renal diet management led by our renal dietitian, Trisha. She shared valuable inputs on salt intake, explaining the daily recommended amount, what foods can be included, and which ones should be avoided. To make the session interactive and impactful, she also conducted a practical demonstration using salt and a spoon, helping patients visualize exactly how much salt they should consume in a day.
Our AV Fistula Care Workshop is about more than survival—it’s about living well. We teach the importance of exercise, diet, and self-care for AV fistulas, so you can stay healthy and positive. Plus, you’ll connect with others who truly understand and support your journey.
