At AVF Care, we believe that empowering patients with the right knowledge and practical skills can make their dialysis journey safer and more manageable.

The 17th AVF Care Workshop, led by Dr. Himanshu Verma, Vascular Surgeon, focused on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support CKD and dialysis patients in their day-to-day healthcare. Participants, along with their attendants and dialysis technicians, explored practical ways to use AI for organising medical reports, managing appointments, understanding general health information, and tracking dialysis-related details. It was emphasised that AI is a supportive tool and should never replace professional medical advice.

The workshop also included hands-on AV fistula self-examination training, helping patients identify early warning signs such as reduced thrill, abnormal access sounds, swelling, redness, or pain, enabling them to seek timely medical evaluation and protect their vascular access.
