Over the past year, we’ve embarked on a mission to raise awareness around AV fistula care and empower both patients and dialysis technicians with knowledge that can truly transform lives. Led by Dr. Himanshu Verma, Director, Department of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, the AV Fistula Care Workshop Series has so far touched hundreds of lives across multiple cities.
Each workshop was crafted with a single goal: better care, better awareness, and better outcomes.

13th AVF Care Workshop: Role of Artificial Intelligence in Renal Diet
The 13th AVF Care Workshop was successfully conducted online on 30th October,
focusing on educating and engaging dialysis patients and introducing AI as a
friendly renal diet coach.
12th AVF Care Workshop: Empowering Kidney Warriors
The 12th AVF Care Workshop brought together patients, caregivers,
and dialysis technicians for an evening of learning and healing
through art therapy.
11th AV Fistula Care Workshop: Myths busted online !!
The focus of this online renal diet session was to bust common myths and clarify facts related to food choices.
10th AV Fistula Care Workshop: Online Renal Diet Talk
An online session on the Renal Diet was conducted by Dr. Trisha, Renal Dietitian, exclusively for dialysis patients.
9th AV Fistula Care Workshop: AV Access Thrill Awareness
The workshop witnessed active participation of dialysis patients and their attendants, showing eagerness to learn and care.
7th and 8th AV Fistula Care Workshop
Dr. Himanshu Verma and his team hosted a truly special evening at Fortis Memorial Research Institute.
4th & 5th AV Fistula Workshops – Dehradun
Reaching over 100 patients and dozens of dialysis staff in Dehradun.
2nd and 3rd AV Fistula Care Workshops – Dual Sessions
This workshop was held in Varanasi and divided into two meaningful sessions —
one for patients and one for dialysis technicians.
